A poem inspired by William Ernest Henley’s Invictus

In the midst of hurricane day,
When my faith and hope over sway,
I will stand against might of gales,
All bent on me,with full intent.
I will not shake against the foe
Nor fear the extent of his blow.
No matter how battered I look,
I will mellow to rise again.
